Homage
to Colin Powell is a 41’ x 16’ mural commissioned
by the Foundation
for Art and Preservation in Embassies. It depicts
the constellations and Milky Way in the sky over Jamaica
on Colin Powell’s birth night. It is currently being
painted at the Queens
Museum of Art, where visitors can observe the artists
at work. This Fall (2009) it will be transported and installed
in the U.S. Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica. |
